djanonymousclown asked: I made a batch of amber ale and I followed the directions as stated. Except, I am worried that I messed up. When do I add the priming sugar? Is that after it ferments? Is it too late to add it now. I started 2 days ago. Don’t I need to add sugar to make the alchohol? I haven’t added any type of sugar yet.

noah424 asked: I made a homebrew with extra light malt extract and partial mashed pale ale & 60L crystal malt grains. I used cascade, chinook, centennial and hallertau hops and high gravity ale yeast. Everything was fully sanitized with “one-step”. My beer has a slightly sulfury smell to it, but tastes fine and actually has a fantastic color and head. The smell began while in the secondary fermenter and into the bottling process. I use glass carboys (primary blow off, secondary airlock). Again, everything was completely sanitary - it is highly unlikely that it had wild yeast infect it.

Alex K asked: I want to bottle home brew beer, and I want to do it cheaply. Buying bottles is expensive. There’s a cafe near where I work that sells Coke in the little, “retro” 8 oz coke. They’re glass and look about right for accepting a standard bottle cap.
Is it safe to bottle beer in these bottles?
Will they hold up to bottle conditioning?
Will they accept a standard cap applied with a hand capper?
Has anyone had any problems using them?
Is 8 oz too small for decent carbonation to build up during bottle conditioning?
